Project Main: Lost Adventures Vol 1
Overview
Bugbears, the larger cousin of the goblin is one of the must have monsters for any dungeons and dragons group. So many beginning adventures will undoubtedly encounter these monsters. I love this artistic style from the Artisan Guild Patreon group for these sculpts from the Lost Adventures Vol 1 Kickstarter.
Overall these monsters were easy to print and even one of the bugbears can print supportless for FDM printers (Bugbear 1 Javelin). I only encountered one small issue with the print for the morningstar bugbear of which his weapon forearm top came out flat instead of the sculpt. This is an issue I’ve never encountered before but simply trying again cleared it up. Read Print Issues/ Areas of Improvement for more info.
Print Issues/ Areas of Improvement
The issue displayed below is the only print issue that occurred in the set of these bugbears. However since the print issue of a completely flat forearm is on the top portion of the arm the issue is not related to supports. If this was a support issue then the underside of the arm would have failed.
At this moment I do not know what caused this print failure and several people i’ve spoken to have never seen something like this either. Like all hobbyists you are always learning and I am no different. Let me know in the comments below if you have ever seen something like this.
