Overview

The Cottage as a whole did not have many props at all for this build. The only additional features provided for these buildings are bricks which are entirely optional and windows for the 2nd story front and back walls. Each window section will need two printed windows one for the outside and the other for the inside of the building. Without the windows added to the building I would swear that the buildings as whole are just fancy bird houses. Perhaps you could use them as such if you were interested.

While I did not print or use the bricks for these builds I am going to include the print log data of printing bricks in resin for the Blacksmith build as the files are the same. Note: Final cost analysis and time breakdown does not include the bricks.

STL modification for FDM printing: Each window piece was lowered with back into the build plate for flat surface printing. Windows were not completely flat for original printing however fit onto building with no issue.

Missing STL? The Window STLs at the time of this writing are missing from the FDM folder of the Cottage files provided by CastnPlay. However they can be found in the Resin folders under CTG 2 Story.

Required Print Processes

The most notable difficulty is that ALL pieces of this set require rotation of opened STL file to be flat on the print bed when loading into your slicer. The largest thing to look out for is to make sure that the bottom of each base piece is flush against the build plate. This ensures a good solid layer of adhesion for your print and best success while printing. When looking for the side to put against the build plate look for the side that has no details.

Image below shows rotation of piece from Fishers Hut print logs but concept is same for Cottage as well.
