Project Main: Lost Adventures Vol 1

Overview

While I personally have never needed man eating plants for my Dungeons and Dragons table (yet), it is hard to miss their importance. This set comes with two plants one as an unassuming closed variant and the other open and ready to eat anything that comes close.

I did experience quite a bit of issue printing the open variant of this model which did not clear up until I changed resin types. I do not think many would have this issue but it goes to show that not all materials used are the same. This is a great reminder that it isn’t just settings that impact your printing results for resin printing.

Print Issues/ Areas of Improvement

For this group of prints I did experience some issues with the model pulling away from the supports. It appeared that the open plant with more gaps in the supports. The thought process was that more resin got between the gaps and accounted for a larger suction force to cause the print to fail. After several periods of experimentation I ended up changing resins which cleared the issue and printed super easily.
