Project Main: Lost Adventures Vol 1
Overview
While working through 3d printing the Lost Adventures Vol 1 Kickstarter, I finally got to the Hydra Horror sculpt. This epic monster has so much incredible character and has been incredibly easy to print. Overall I had no issues printing with the presupported model of this hydra and only had one issue of which was my own and had two necks print together which fused. However upon pulling them apart I had zero issue and any scaring is unnoticeable.
What is really special about this model is that the hydra figure allows you to create if you wish one of 120 possible combinations of neck choices since all neck slots allow for either 1 or 2 necks with heads. That amount of combinations only increases if you factor in the 3 different variety heads that come with the sculpt. Therefore anyone who makes this model can make one completely unique from anyone elses in the world.
Feeling overwhelmed with choices I decided to tackle something truly fun. I opted to magnetize all the necks and allow for them to be interchangeable. This was the first time I really magnetized a model and if you want to read more about the process check out my post: “How Do You Magnetize Models Anyway?“
Below is just a few images of the different ways I could customize this model.
